HILL FEST – ORIGINAL FILM FESTIVAL

Higher and Technical Institute, Mizoram (HATIM) is organizing a festival for the youth of Mizoram to nurture their creativity and innovations called Hill Fest on 15th and 16th March, 2019 at HATIM Campus, Kawmzawl.
The main idea behind the Festival is to provide a positive engagement for students and youths where creativity and ideas will be nurtured. The festival will be organized by the HATIM College and it will be opened to the public and invitations will be given out to different business and private firms to open stalls to showcase their talents and creativity.
This festival is aimed at creating an event where youths, especially college students finds an array of events and activities to participate in and get to experience varied aspects of life learning lessons.
One of the main event in this festival is Original Film Festival where entries are open for a Short Film Competition. The Chief Judge of this event will be Mapuia of Leitlang Pictures, one of the most renowned figure in the field of Videography in Mizoram.
The rules and regulations for submission of entries in this Film Festival are as follows:-
- Film should not exceed 15 minutes
- Any capturing device can be used
- Concept should be original
- HATIM reserves the right to refuse to screen any submission deemed by the Festival to be inappropriate.
- All submissions are screened and evaluated by the Hill Fest – Original Film Festival Judges, appointed by the festival steering committee. Their decisions are final and confidential. The winning films will be screened at the last day of the festival. The results will be announced on the prize distribution ceremony on the 16th March 2019. The winning films may be published or broadcasted on the College Website and / or the College YouTube Channel.
- HATIM Hill Fest Commitee will contact you (hatimoffice@gmail.com) if there are any problems with your film. Once downloaded by us, your film will be loaded onto our festival database.
- For offline submission, submit your film at HATIM Office, Kawmzawl Lunglei.
- For Online submissions, upload your film as Unlisted on YouTube and send the link to the number mentioned below.
- Entry Fee: FREE
- The entry is open for all and anyone can submit their pre-recorded or new films.
- The language of the films submitted can be in Mizo or English.
- Films may be entered by any organization / agency or by an individual film Producer / Director who hold the copyright.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: 12th March, 2019
